Very recent studies show that Florida is projected to add over 303,000 new residents per year between 2021 and 2025. The outlook beyond also shows continued population growth as well. To put that number in perspective and for comparison, as of 2021, the city of Orlando has 290,500 residents.
The Tampa Bay area is estimated to receive a large part of this growth. The areas of Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas Counties are estimated to grow by a little more 216K new residents from 2021-2025 and almost 200K between 2025-2030. If including the data for the neighboring counties of Manatee and Sarasota, the growth for this area of west central Florida is even greater.
According to www.censusreporter.org – 37% of Florida’s population is between the ages of 20-49 and 40% are 50 years old and above.
